Our Largest Wall Wrap At Consol Energy

At The Stick Company, we pride ourselves on transforming walls and rooms into dynamic spaces with our wall wraps. Our recent collaboration with Consol Energy on the William P. Powell Training Facility served as another example to this commitment. Originally an integrated mine portal, the facility was transformed into a dynamic company-wide training center.

When Consol Energy approached us, they had a clear vision to create a space that embodies the essence of working underground. From there, our team went to work.

The first step in our process was capturing the true essence of the underground environment with a trip underground into their Enlow Fork Coal Mine for custom photography. Amberlee Christey worked her magic and the pictures would set the tone for the entire project.

With the photographs as our guide, our designers helped recreate the underground environment while ensuring all details were as accurate as possible while also fitting the actual layout of the hallway.

Once the design was finalized, our printing & production team took over, helping to print, laminate and prepare the panels for installation.

** Fun fact – the completed project featured over 100 printed and installed panels!

The final step in the process was installation – which had its own set of challenges in installing the panels on concrete block walls, as well as having to wrap around a number of pre-installed pipes and conduits. A big shoutout to the guys at Wrap Logic, who joined in on the fun, helping with the project installation.

Our entire team played a role in helping to transform the William P. Powell Training Facility. The final result helped transform the former mine portal into the clients original vision – a realistic underground entrance into one of Consol’s operations.
